About

Hi, I’m Nafiseh Mousavi—a graphic designer, visual arts educator, and founder of Nounmim, based in Los Angeles. With over nine years of experience, I use design as a tool for storytelling, connection, and community impact.

I’ve worked on public health campaigns, educational materials, and civic projects across the U.S., Turkey, and Iran—translating complex ideas into clear, human-centered visuals. The projects that inspire me most are those that create positive change and spark dialogue.

With Nounmim, I explore the emotional side of design—what I call my “emotions volcano”—through digital collage and mixed media, often centered on memory, identity, and displacement.
